The Tiny Toots

Rabbit bonding

Are your rabbits fighting outright? Or always getting into minor scuffles? And you’re afraid they may injure one another?

Tried bonding them, yet they still go at each other once in a while?
Try The Tiny Toots, we’ve experience bonding even the fiercest rabbits.
Bonding typically takes between 3-15 days, depending on the number of rabbits.
For 2 rabbits, estimated 3-5 days. For 6 rabbits, 15 or more days.
We’ll need to assess the dynamics between your bunnies through videos and photos before recommending the number of days bonding will take.

Why 3-5 days, when other places need at least 2 weeks?

Imagine if you had to live with another human being that you don’t get along with, You side eye each other every day and there’s always an underlying tension. You’re forced on a holiday together and by immersing yourself in a new place and being forced to interact, you start to develop a mutual understanding.
That’s what we do with bunnies during the bonding at Kovan. This greatly reduces the length of time needed for them to be bonded.

What is included in the experience:

– Full-time boarding + bonding for your rabbits in our space at Kovan
– Unlimited Timothy hay
– Any treats and vegetables needed for bonding
– Recommendation on how to reconfigure your home set up, to ensure your rabbits stay bonded at home

The bonding process:

– Send us photos and videos of your bunnies interacting with one another.
– We’ll ask you questions about their situation: their ages, whether they’re sterilised, how long they’ve been fighting and so on.
– A recommendation of the number of days will be given to you based on the assessment above.
– Send them for bonding (we can do pick up and drop off too!).
– All their items and play pen needs to be thoroughly washed and cleaned to neutralise them before your bunnies return home.

Rates:

Bonding for 2 rabbits: $69/day
Bonding for 3 rabbits: $89/day
Bonding for 4 rabbits: $110/day

What to expect:

– There may be some fighting at my place while they’re being bonded. I will be watching them closely to prevent any injuries, to the best of my ability.
– After the 3-5 days’ bonding, they may not groom each other yet, or may not be glued to each other’s sides. These require slightly more time, and should gradually happen when they’re back home. What we can assure you is that they will not fight and cause bodily harm when they return home.
– Even after they are bonded, they may squabble a bit here and there when they return home. Like humans who have to live together, it’s perfectly normal. It should immediately escalate into a fight – they will likely squabble at a higher frequency before they suddenly fight. I will teach you how to retain their bond during their squabbles.
